Why do babies and children seem closer to God? Everyone knows the story: as children we’re open, pure, trusting. As we grow up and move out into the world, we can lose this pure state; in trying to form the self, we forget who we really are. Yes, our culture, environment, parents, genes—they all impact who we become. But there is another link that scientists are only now beginning to understand. That link is called The Spirit Molecule.
Scientists have shown that an infant’s brain is flooded with 5-MeO-DMT secreted from the pineal gland. Their brain is 40 percent more active and open. DMT is referred to as the spirit molecule because it is what allows us to connect to divine consciousness.
